When I open Thunderbird and click on any folder, nothing happens, and I can't send emails or look at anything in my inbox.

When I open Thunderbird, and I go to click on my Inbox, the welcome page is there, not the inbox. I can't write, send, forward or do anything in my email. This is the second time that this has happened. This doesn't allow me to use my email at all.
