One list of messages in Inbox dissappear and another list appears, then back again.

I will see a list of messages in the Inbox, the list will disappear, and another list appears, then the lists will switch back. All messages are valid, I just have to keep clicking on Get Messages so I can deal with each message, either move or delete.

No I use Time Warner email account set up as IMAP.
