Use Mozilla VPN system controls on iPhone and iPad

Mozilla VPN for iPhone and iPad includes quick controls that let you turn the VPN on or off from different parts of iOS.

You can use:

  • Control Center
  • The lock screen
  • The iPhone Action Button (supported devices only)
Note: Your iPhone must be unlocked before VPN status can change.

Add Mozilla VPN to Control Center

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap Control Center.
  3. Add the Mozilla VPN control.
  4. Open Control Center.
  5. Tap the Mozilla VPN button to turn VPN on or off.

OR

  1. Long-press an open spot on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. The Control Center will open
  3. Add the Mozilla VPN control.
  4. Tap the Mozilla VPN button to turn VPN on or off.

Add Mozilla VPN to the lock screen

You can add Mozilla VPN as a lock screen control.

  1. Customize your lock screen.
  2. Select a control slot.
  3. Choose Mozilla VPN.
Note: VPN can only be toggled after unlocking your iPhone.

Use Mozilla VPN with the Action Button

On iPhones with an Action Button, you can assign Mozilla VPN to the Action Button.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Action Button.
  3. Select Mozilla VPN.

You can then quickly turn VPN on or off using the Action Button.
