Incomplete instructions to move Thunderbird emails to another computer
In reference to the article [[Knowledge Base Article|http://mzl.la/1ApHiU3]], "Move Thunderbird data to a new computer", this misses the transfer of Local Folders.
The instructions only include moving the Thunderbird application data folder with profile information but does not include Local Folders, after completing these instructions the Local Folders will not be present on the new computer.
The path for Local Folders is under Account Settings > Local Folders, this folder needs to be copied to the similar path on the new computer as well.
I have copied emails from a Windows 10 to Windows 11 computer using these instructions and it appears to work.

I am unsure of what you are stating. When moving a profile, that always includes the Local Folders as they are part of the profile.
The Local Folders may be kept elsewhere, if you look at the Account Settings > Local Folders, or right-click on Local Folders and select Settings, you will see an option for Local Directory under Message Storage, this path is where the Local Folders files are found, this is not necessarily under the same path as the Profile(s).
This folder needs to be copied as well as the Profile if it is different.
There is also another path for Message Storage for the POP email server settings, again, this could be different from the path for Profiles.
That is also true for each account. My confusion was in trying to figure out whether you were posting a question. It appears you are not. Thank you.
