Cannot delete or move a message from Inbox - macOS, Exchange server, Tbird 150.0.2 (aarch64)

There is a message in my Inbox that cannot be deleted or moved. I've tried re-starting Firefox several times to no avail.

The stubborn message is actually completely blank when viewed in Tbird. Also - the stubborn message has already been moved to another folder where it can be read (i.e. message contents available). Yet - this stubborn "ghost" mail message will not disappear from my Inbox!?

I am connected to an Exchange email server - one of the "shared" servers administered by Microsoft.

I had hoped to get away from the insanity of Outlook, but it seems when it comes to email, there is no escape!

And finally FWIW, When I view my Inbox in "Web Outlook", there is no "stubborn ghost message" in the Inbox - the message is where I moved it.

I believe the index for your Inbox folder is corrupt, which makes it mis-report its contents. To fix it, right-click on the folder name in the right-hand Folders pane, then choose Properties > General Information tab, then click the "Repair Folder" button, then OK. The phantom messages should be gone now.

It wouldn't hurt to compact the folder, too.
