install firefox 60 on ubuntu 22

Due to a compatibility issue with a software I use, I need to install Firefox 60 on Ubuntu 22 or 24. I have already downloaded the tar files and Firefox runs, the problem is that it immediately asks to update. I have already disabled automatic updates and certificates but it does not work either.

Hola, No se funciona en Linux: La única forma de solucionar eso es desactivando las actualizaciones automáticas por completo:

Abrí la carpeta de instalación de FF > creá una carpeta nueva que se llame "distribution"

Dentro de la carpeta "distribution", creá un archivo llamado "policies.json" > y agregale esto:

"policies":
   {
     "DisableAppUpdate": true,
     "ManualAppUpdateOnly": true
    }
}

Guardalo y reiniciá FF. Tené en cuenta que vas a tener que actualizar manualmente.

gracias, al parecer en linux no funciona, no solicita actualizar, pero no navega, solo me muestra el mensaje: "!vaya¡ su pestaña acaba de fallar" y no permite navegar
