I expected this information would be available in developer help but I can't find any information on it.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player or remove it using these links; Uninstall Flash Player | Windows {web link} Uninstall Flash Player | Mac {web link}

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Do you mean, where in the program code of Firefox does it instruct Firefox to use

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox

as the base folder for user profile data on Windows? Interesting question. No idea.

Yeah, its kinda hard to navigate 800,000 files with close to zero documentation.

I only found one reference to it in nsWindowsShellService.cpp

Also notable that the install log contains nothing about creation of a profile folder.
