How do I set print media?

When I select print, it is set for "HP advance photo papers" need to be set to plain paper. I need my page to print automatically like it used to do. When updated, I now have to go into preferences every time and choose plain paper. If I don't, it prints really slow and uses a lot more ink. Constantly having to print things!! Please help! This only happens in FF browser.
