When I open to iGoogle a second tab "chrome://tavgp/content/html/tabswelcome.htm" opens. What is this?
This just started. I removed and reinstalled Firefox 8 but it's still happening. Ran an AVG security scan but no problem was found

It will only disable features added to Firefox by that extension.
The AVG software still works to protect you by scanning files.

That issue is caused by the an AVG (tavgp) extension extension
Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I wonder if its a problem to leave it as I'm concerned removing it will limit AVG effectiveness.
