Why do I lose Klondike (Cards add-on in Tools) if I upgrade Firefox?

I had Firefox (older) on my desktop and my laptop. I was urged to upgrade - - - I did on my desktop, now I've lost the Cards add-on, and cannot add Klondike again. I'm prevented from upgrading to the latest Firefox on my laptop, lest I won't be able to play Klondike any more. This Klondike was the best version ever - - - I don't want to lose it - - - but I should upgrade. Why isn't there a Cards add-on for the upgraded Firefox?

The developer of that Klondike addon probably hasn't updated it for whatever version you installed.
