I got locked out

more options

I deleted the gmail that I used for my Firefox account because I thought it had no accounts tied to it. I recovered the account after Firefox prompted me to check my email for the verification code. It then said “email was referred”. When I tried to sign in again I got a message that said “we have locked your account”.

Hey there I’m really sorry to hear you’re having this issue. Lockouts are definitely frustrating.

The options are limited but here is what I found.

When your account is locked and you do not have access to the email account you created this Firefox account in, or the email is no longer accessible. I would recommend making a backup of your local profile first and then creating a new Firefox account.

Look at the bright side You can also start from the beginning anytime you like by creating a new account with a new email address.

To read the full instructions of options given in this circumstance please see this article.

Good Luck.
