I cannot go to a file and left click hit send and get the email to open a new email with the file attached like before WHAT DO I DO

When i go to explorer, right click on a file, scroll down to send to, and then email, my Thunderbird closes instead of opening an email with the attachment ready to send. This happens on all file since the update.
