Sending of message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.kingharald.co.uk. Please check password and verify the Authentication method in Account settings/Outgoing server (SMTP). Emails work ok for a while, then I get a few days of this error message and then it seems to fix itself. It's not working just now. How do I fix this?

Hello i wanted to move my emails storage from c/user/user/appdata.... to d/thunderbird/profile.... results a lost all... i have 2 or 3 email accounts i cant attach the new D/ .../rpfile/8dsw...to others 2 email account only to 1 so i decide to get back ( C/ user/.../profile/8dsw... still in pc ) and get no more emails on 3 account and i if i add the profile file (8dsw...) to 1 email account show me all file associated to the account but nothing in inbox... ahhh misery misery ... I recently and reluctantly converted from my Eudora mail client to Thunderbird about two months ago and I keep having this same problem. I am not sure if I have the correct settings activated so hopefully someone may be able to advise. I have Windows 10, laptop Accessing a "********@usa.net" address via "smtp.postoffice.net" "port 587" Problem is that my junk, sent, draft, trash messages re download when I log back in again. My understanding is that Thunderbird only downloads the headers whereas my Eudora downloaded the complete message so is the fact that it is only the headers being downloaded that it then re downloads them when logging back in?? It is so frustrating having to wait for these messages to download AGAIN when I am just trying to check my emails quickly. Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong or what settings may need tweaking? Thank you

I keep getting this message when clicking Get Messages in Thunderbird : "Unable to establish TLS connection to POP3 server. The server may be down or may be incorrectly configured. Please verify the correct configuration in the Server Settings for your mail server in the Account Settings window and try again" I don't understand whats going on.
Any advice on what I should be doing to figure out how to make this work?

However if we send an e mail to a G mail account it goes out and shows it gone but it does not reach the the g mail account . This is not just one person. this multiple g amil accounts. Our internet provider claims it is thunderbirds fault. Hope someone can help. John

Everytime I open up Thunderbird to try to send an email, it says “Login to server pop.shaw.ca with username ricc failed”
It also says “Cannot get mail. The mail server “imap.shaw.ca” is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail Settings.”
It also says “login to server pop.shaw.ca with username ricc failed” “Enter your password for ricc on imap.shaw.ca”
This on an IOS device (ipod 7)
My isp won;t help because they say they don’t support a third party application, so can you help?

I recently updated my Mozilla thunderbird email to the latest version 102.12.0 (32-bit). Now all my Mozilla thunderbird calendar entries have disappeared. How do I get these entries back please? I've had a look on the support pages and found this article:
Lightning disappears after a Thunderbird update (release and beta versions) This may happen if the update of the add-on is stuck. Don't worry about your calendar data, it is left untouched and will be available again if you follow these steps to restore Lightning:
Go to the Advanced section of Thunderbird Settings and click on Config Editor... Copy or start typing extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} into the search box When extensions.installedDistroAddon... is listed in the preferences list, right-click on it and choose Reset from the context menu - the preference now isn't bold anymore and its value is empty Close the editor, leave the Thunderbird options, open Thunderbird's add-ons manager and switch to the list of installed extensions If Lightning is listed there, click on Remove to the right of the list item Restart Thunderbird After Thunderbird has been relaunched, Lightning will be back and you will have access to your calendar data.
However I don't have an "advanced section" of Thunderbird settings or a "Config Editor" section.
Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

I just changed my Thunderbird to accommodate Microsoft Exchange (and had to enable the Owl add-on to do so). Now there is NO option available to set reply text at the top of a reply message. Replies are automatically set at the bottom after the first message in the string by default (which makes no sense and shouldn't have been the default). The option which used to be available in the Composition page of the Settings page is not there. How do I set reply text to appear at the top of a message as a standard??

For the past 20 years FutureQuest.net has been hosting our website wilkoff.com. But FutureQuest has informed us they are going out of business. Our emails have been mark@wilkoff.com and linda@wilkoff.com. Also over the last 20 years we have used Thunderbird to access and store our emails. I have found a new host for our website so we can keep the email addresses but obviously the server settings are going to change. What do I need to do to make sure I do not lose all the stored emails on Thunderbird? Thank you.
