I just updated to version 106.1.0. Before the update, there were 6 wallpaper options in homepage settings. According to this after updating there was supposed to be more wallpaper options to choose from. But after updating not only there are no new options, but the existing options are also removed.

This applies to the latest Firefox for Android version (this issue did not occur with the previous version). I manually closed my tabs and closed the Firefox app when I exit. However, when I open the app again, the previously closed tabs are there as if they were never closed. This is fixed if I delete browsing data but, obviously, this is not an ideal solution. I have tried to attach a short clip of this issue in action but it will not upload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Websites are not loading, search is not working. The app is not working at all. Tried closing and reopening FF, cleared cache, rebooting phone and few other settings but nothing helped. Tried googling around the problem and most of the users are also facing same issue. It might be fixed by reinstalling the app but I CANNOT do that because my site data is important and I don't see any way to backup site data to my PC. Please help with the issue without losing FF app data.

I am on Android Firefox and I accidentally chose "Always" on the pop-up asking where I want my downloaded items to go. I want to change it because where the files are now sent is inconvenient at best but i cannot find such an option to change my preference in either the Firefox settings bar nor my phone's device settings.

So I was downloading a video from a website and when I download it it says "Mp4 (1)/(2)/(3)..."in the notification but when the download finishes I can't find the file in the "downloads"section and when I find the file in the file manager it shows the file but when I click to open it it plays for a second or two then closes automatically

It's not the website's or the files fault since I can download the same file on chrome

Since the new Chrome changes I have tried to switch from Chrome to Firefox but this download problem is the only thing that's bugging me and keeping me from using Firefox as my default browser

Please if anyone has a solution to my problem, it is greatly appreciated

Mozila VPN on Android sometimes appear to automatically turn itself off.

The explanation could be in your settings on Android: Go to settings, - select Apps, - - choose Mozilla VPN in the list, - - - go to Battery and select background Use,

go back to Mozilla VPN in the list, - - - go to Mobile Data, - - - - turn On "Allow Background Data Usage" - - - - turn On "Allow App while Data saver is On"

now your VPN shouldn't turn off any longer.

When restarting your phone the explanation why the Mozilla VPN is OFF is that to keep your security, the app requires re-authenticating with their servers (new encryption key).

I just got a new phone (Pixel 7a) and embedded videos have closed captions enabled by default in Firefox. Even if I turn them off while watching one video, they'll be back on the next video. I want them to just be off by default. It's not an Android setting as far as I can tell - I have all live captioning turned off and the video player isn't showing captions when I use Chrome to watch the same videos. I've recently picked up a new Pixel phone with Android 14 to replace my aging Samsung, and I'm having issues with the account login on Firefox. On my old device, attempting to use a Google service would offer the option to login using one of my device accounts. On my new device however, it just asks for a password. I'm not really sure what could have changed here other than maybe something related to Android versions but there's no setting I can find to fix this. I know it's a small issue but it is a nuisance and I would much prefer using the Android account service rather than having to manually log in with a password every time my session expires. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi. Around the last few days of July the videos on Youtube started freezing like when they stop playing to load, except it never stops loading and continue the video. When I skip ahead it plays for a few seconds and then stops again. I tried playing videos on other sites, and the same thing happens. The Youtube app works perfectly, and so does the Netflix app and the Chrome app - so I know it's a problem particular to the Firefox app. I removed most of my add-ons to test and it didn't help (the only ones I didn't remove are the uBlock Origin and the Search by Image ones). Also tried uninstalling and installing the app again, but no dice. Any idea how I can fix that?

If I want to installt he nightly version for Android on my phone. Will it be better to uninstall the common version before? Can the present settings, passwords and bookmarks be transfered from the common version to the Nightly. Any useful tips or recommendations, please? Thank you very much for the help provided.
