Firefox for iOS Community Forum

All of a sudden with the past week or so I've been having problems writing emails because as I type my words get cutoff and I have to wait for a second or two to start entering letters again. It happens all of a sudden and even occurred when I was entering data to join the forum just now. I looked at the tasks that were running to see if anything there was impacting the performance of the system and found tasks labeled "FirefoxCP Insulated Web Content" running and eating up CPU cycles, up to 48% while in priority position. Sometimes I had up to 6 of these tasks going at one time. What is going on and how can I correct this situation because it's impacting my ability to use any functions that require data entry.

Webpage freezes randomly recently. Need to close the app manually every time and restart all the searches or type the website afterwards. Please fix the problem. I am using the most updated version of firefox in IOS.

Hello Since the release of 116 for iPhone, my iPhone 8 freezes. I have to switch the phone off and reboot it. Only for it to occur a few minutes later. I know from the comments on the App Store that I’m not the only one.

I’m running iOS 16.6, with around 21GB of free space.

Thanks for your prompt attention. I’m having to use the G**gle app to get round this problem, which doesn’t sit well with me.

When using Firefox on an iPhone 13 mini it keeps locking up stuck on a web page and nothing will clear it unless I reboot the iPhone the all ok it’s so bad now I can’t use Firefox as my default browser

I’m having a issue with the app on iOS where sometimes if I leave the app to do other things then return to the app later on it will be frozen. Sometimes I can open the keyboard and type but nothing happens. I also can’t scroll web pages and the app doesn’t come back alive. Instead I have to force close it.

I've had this problem of on my iPhone 14 Mac Firefox (now v113.2 where )tabs are taking long to delete and they freeze once I try to. After waiting awhile, anywhere up to 30 seconds or more, they either finally delete, but still slow or the app crashes and that seems to make the deletions fast, like they originally used to be. I've seen that other people seem to have this problem and I just wondered if a solution for this has finally been found?

Hello, I get the 500 Error screen when trying to sync Firefox on my phone. When trying both scan or email. ( I had to erase the app after having signed out, to try and fix a bug. The app kept freezing) Can't seem to find any help from Firefox's... elaborated support system. I'm probably dumb. But I don't have any more time for that. And I can't speak with anyone anywhere apparently.

Waiting for a potential answer here, or switching back to Safari in 24h.

I posted a review on the iOS market and received an email asking to post on this forum.

Firefox freezes several times an hour. It crashes every three hours. I installed the Adblock Pro extension (free version). Maybe it’s related but I have not noticed anything related to the extension. Safari doesn’t crash and uses the same extension.

The only point to use Firefox on iOS is the password manager and dark mode. Printing is inferior because it forces pagination.
