Good Evening, My company requested a factory restart and I compiled. I am working to restoring my old firefox bookmarks and preferably history/settings. Is there a way to find and restore this data? I am using the same firefox account as before the reset. Thank you.

Also, what are the best practices for backing up my data in the future to easily restore or transfer my settings and bookmarks in the future?

I seem to not be able to access the website for my local oil company https://fegleyoil.com/ even though I have been able to do so multiple times over the past few years. I have checked every Firefox setting but am still unable to load their site to order oil. I have successfully been able to load their site not only on my smartphone but also on my work PC. I need to know how to fix this. Please advise and many thanks in advance for any assistance. BTW, it also doesn't load on my home PC in Firefox, Edge or Chrome but again loads just fine on my phone and work PC and my home PC VPN is turned off when I try to access this site and I have it added to my Firefox exceptions to be allowed.

I recently switched from another browser to Firefox, and overall, I'm enjoying it. However, there's one thing that bothers me, and I'm not sure if it's a Firefox setting specific to my laptop (Mac), but every time I try to copy text from files stored on my laptop and paste them into online editors in Firefox (Like Google Docs), the text is automatically formatted when I paste it (Cmd +P). With other browsers, this feature works as expected, preserving the formatting of the text, but in Firefox, it doesn't. I've tried disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection, but nothing seems to work. Could anyone give me a hand with that?

I would like my Mozilla Firefox bookmarks to stay on the left side and my bookmark toolbar on the right side (just like it used to be). Now both Bookmark toolbar and Mozilla Firefox bookmarks are on the left side , and I can't even search a Mozilla Firefox bookmark using the search window.

Hello everyone, since my recent update on Mac OS Sonoma 14.0, my Firefox 119.0 (64-bit) bookmarks are becoming irresponsive.

When I hover over any bookmark in my Firefox side bar, it suddenly becomes invisible, and sometimes its entire folder disappear from the side bar from where it has previously been saved, as well as any next bookmark in the same folder. Yet it is still in the bookmark folder, but i have to relaunch Firefox to find it again!

Here are enclosed 2 screen captures. See the section called "A LIRE PRIO 2023-10" just below "00 sources" when I initially opened it on my side bar, it was visible, and when I clicked on any of the bookmarks saved in the folder "01 A LIRE PRIO 2023-10", the entire folder "01 A LIRE PRIO 2023-10" disappeared!

Yet if I go into my Firefox folder, it is still there. If i click on the next folder (from the lateral bar), it will disappear again!

Does anyone have had the same problem and found a solution?

Will appreciate as I had to move to google but does not enjoy it in the same way as Firefox (been on it since 2012!).

I have followed instructions, installed the new Mozilla and, when trying to use it, I get a message to search with google or enter address. Then, I am told that the "browser has crashed . . just tell it to restart" . . . repeatedly Is it not compatible with a Lenovo laptop? Gail Whitaker

My sign on for my webmail has not worked for the past couple of months. I have changed my password and this does not help. I have contacted Centurylink and tried everything they suggested and it still does not work. Have you changed something with the browser that it does not function anymore with my email? My email works using Microsoft Edge browser. It just sits on the sign in page and gives me no reason it does not work. I have cleared my cache and it does not help.

Firefox no longer opens my previous session when re-opening the browser. "Open previous windows and tabs" is checked in the general of browser settings, but no longer performs a such. Was never an issue until a few days ago.

Hello. I'm using Firefox 119 for MAC OS. However my device is labeled as Windows 10 Firefox. I don't have any Windows software labeled anywhere. I have signed out, restarted device and still no change. When I log into a website from Firefox, my "authorized device" is recognized as Windows Firefox.

Yesterday i uninstalled Grammarly but today i am still getting pop-ups saying Grammarly isn't activated yet, but it's been uninstalled! So how do i make the pop-ups stop? That's the whole reason i uninstalled it in the first place.

When pressing the up arrow key with text in the URL bar, the bottom suggestion is selected, rather than returning the text cursor to the beginning. It used to place the insertion point at the very beginning of whatever text was in there, and then another up arrow press would select the bottom suggestion, but now it instantly wraps to the very bottom selection. It's quite frustrating when trying to modify a search query - now you either have to hold the left arrow key, or accurately click with the mouse

For instance, say I type "cloud" in the URL box, but figure "storm cloud" would be a better search. I can't just press the up arrow to add "storm ", because pressing the up arrow once now just replaces the entire line of text with "https://soundcloud.com/", completely ruining my search. I'm pretty sure this was recently changed with an update. Is there any hope of changing it back?

I use the above site to watch replays of the NFL. Upon updating the browser to the latest version, the page no longer loads the video content. It was working fine on the previous version and is working fine using Microsoft Edge. Can you please suggest a resolution?

As the subject indicates, I'm unable to get passwords to sync and can't import from csv. Password file was generated by desktop Firefox on a Windows PC, trying to load to Firefox on Mac. I've manually entered usernames/passwords in the login fields for a few sites and selected the Save Password option when prompted, but about:logins# still says 0 logins and nothing populates when I return to the login page for those sites or pops up if I click or start typing in the username/password fields. Also attempted to sync using same Mozilla account logged in on iOS device and Mac, and that fails on the Mac, too (all passwords are still in iOS version and sync on the device is up-to-date). Error log from attempted sync includes, "Skipping check of passwords - disabled via preferences" and repeats 'Skipping check of... disabled...' for tabs, bookmarks, addons, etc., despite all of the options being selected under about:preferences#sync. Tried unchecking all, disconnecting, reconnecting, and making sure all were checked again. Tried to connect using QR code, but keep getting the message, "Pairing unsuccessful. Try again." as soon as I click on "Connect another device" - a QR code is never actually generated/displayed (see image), and clicking on it to 'try again' does not refresh/generate a QR code. A Primary Password (Master Password) has never been set for this account/on any associated devices. If I try to enter a web address, username, and password manually in about:logins#, it throws an error message and says it couldn't save, and asks me to enter a primary password which, again, I've never created/had. All versions of Firefox are up-to-date.

Please help.

If the Master Password is enabled on one device, it needs to be enabled on all devices connected to a Sync account.

Type about:sync-log in the URL bar and hit Enter. Do you have any error reports on the devices where Logins sync isn't working?

The text of the log can be posted here: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ Make sure you select "a month" for data retention; "a day" is the default.

Then provide the resultant URL (after posting) here so a Sync support person can review those logs - latest per device. Might take a few days to get a knowledgeable response here. '
