Over the past few weeks, any time I copy a link, whether it's an email address or a URL, from within any page while using Firefox, FF will freeze? Pause? not respond.. for 5 - 15 seconds. I've not done a reset yet.. Windows 11, 16GB RAM, 2GB Video, religiously updated and maintained laptop

I've spent quite a bit of time on this. This error is on Firefox only, has been continuous for I believe three days. I troubleshot everything that I know to be possible. My camera and microphone work just fine everywhere but on Messenger using the Firefox browser...

Loading regular pages like HomeDepot or Wellsfargo are very slow. Can take 30 sec. Videos from CNN or Youtube can take 1 min top load if at all. I have gigabit internet and pages load withing 2 sec on Microsoft Edge. I have tried complete removal and reinstallation of Firefox. I have default theme and no extensions installed. I have tried turning off Norton 360 firewall and antivirus, starting Firefox in safe mode, starting Windows 10 in safemode. Nothing helps. Have not only scanned computer with Norton but also with Malwarebytes and found no adware/ viruses. HTML5 seems to be working fine according to a diagnostic page I visited. Firefox works great on my laptop from same internet connection. Have 40 gigabytes free space on disk drive. Please help

I have created a CUSTOM message filter, but it only works from the Run Now button in the Message Filters Window. The Filter does not work when using it from the menu bar Tools/Run Filter on Message

What am I doing incorrectly,,, or forgetting to do???? Thanks

Create a folder called TEST, in Local Folders to use for the test Have an email message with Reply to available in selected folder to apply the filter for test then; 1. Select TOOLS from menu 2. Open Message Filters 3. In Filters for; Select a FOLDER from the drop down menu to apply the new filter 4. Click NEW to enter the Filter Rules window 5. Type in a new Filter NAME (TEST) 6. UNclick - Apply Filter when Getting New Mail 7. Select the Match all of the following ; 8. Select CUSTOMIZE from drop down menu in the first column 9. Now in Customize Headers window 10. Enter new header name in New Message Header; using hyphens in place of spaces (Reply-to) 11. Click OK Return to Filter Rules Window

       Select the  Match all of the following ;

1. Select the Reply-to from the drop down menu in the first column 2. Select contains in the second column 3. Type in the data to use for a filter match in the third column (@website.com)

       Under Perform these actions;

1. Select Move Messages to 2. Select Folder (TEST) 3. Click OK

Go to email inbox of selected folder Highlight or Open the test email containing the Reply to

Go to the menu bar Tools" Click on "Run Filter on Message Nothing happens

Go to the menu bar Tools" Click Message Filters Click Run Now --- success, the test email is sent to the TEST folder in Local Folders

I have done everything I have read about to TURN OFF Archiving. I don't want it. I have gone into account settings for all accounts and unchecked Archiving. I also went into the config editor and set mail.identity.idx.archive_enabled to false for all identity IDs.

Still, messages that have recently been sent, received, or even in draft mode are sent to Archive. When I say recent, I mean as quickly as an hour or less. If I move them back to the proper folder, they soon get sent back to Archive. Maddening.

How can I totally drive a stake in the heart of Archiving? I do not want it and it is making my work very difficult.

Side note: When I have cleaned out the Archive folder, at times one or more blank emails with a date of 1969 will show up there as unread.

The thumbnails on the Firefox page used to take me to the thumbnail home page. Recently this became inconsistent, now the thumbnails try to take me to their home page but the process stops. I have already refreshed Firefox and that did not help. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. The thumbnails come up but their functionality is still broken. How do I fix this problem?

I am unable to send any emails with attachments or embedded images via my gmail account. Error message:

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again.

I am able to send simple text emails without any issues

I tried the suggestions listed here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1344851. Nothing helped. I can send simple text emails so I know my smtp settings are correct. I also have no issues downloading emails from the account.

For sometime now I have been unable to access my Bell email on Firefox except if I use private browsing and then it allows me to get to my login and by default allows me to enter my login and password. But if I don't use privacy browsing mode, I cannot get to my email. This is on my android Samsung phone btw. Bell tells me it's a browser issue and that I'm to contact Firefox or switch to Chrome or Edge, but I'd rather do it through Firefox. Can anyone assist as to how I can correct this issue?

The browser is open but every time I click on something it won't respond and I keep on clicking my mouse until it respond. It also pop up with browser not responding. It's starting to get annoying same as typing words the letters won't pop up until a few seconds later. Same goes with deleting too. It won't delete as I keep on pressing delete, it will start deleting 5 seconds later.

Hi I am running Firefox 103 on my lenovo thinkpad T570 running windows 10. Streaming any video (e.g. BBC iPlayer or GCN+ or any source I have tried) Video very choppy, freezes for several seconds while audio continues as normal. this is essentially unusable. Task manager shows firefox running at 70% or more I have tried all the power management settings and that makes no difference. The Nvidia Gforce940 appears not to be used at all. All my drivers are up to date I have tried firefox troubleshoot mode, which makes no difference full screen mode or not makes no difference (its a 4k screen so I wondered if it was doing some kind of upscaling) makes no difference whether I run on external monitor or internal. Also makes no difference whether the laptop is connected to my thunderbolt dock or not. I can run the same content side by side in Chrome. Chrome displays the video smoothly with no glitches at all and consumes around 16% CPU (still no Nvidia GPU utilisation)

This problem does not happen on my other PC, a 5 year old Intel NUC, with i5 cpu, also running win 10 connected to my TV.

If i can't fix this I will have to very reluctantly revert to Chrome for video streaming I havent worked uot how to obtain the troubleshooting info to share but happy to do this if necessary

Everyttime I try to retrieve mail I get the message "Connection to server pop.1and1.com was interupted"

I've been using Thunderbird with no issues for probably a decade.

IONOS (1and1.com) just changed their policies so I had to change Thunderbird to use SSL/TLS. I made the change to the settings for that server and could still get email fine. It was after making the changes to the outgoing server settings that the error started happening so I suspect that is part of the problem. I followed the directions on this page for the SSL/TLS change: https://www.ionos.com/help/email/ssl-encryption-for-email/enabling-encryption-for-ionos-email-accounts-in-mozilla-thunderbird/

Just upgraded to most current version 102.1.2 thinking this might solve the issue; it didn't.

Yesterday: filters working fine. Rebuilding filter pile after having to re-install one of two email accounts. Write it, run it, message(s) disappear. I re-installed this account last week sometime, so this isn't an immediate "post-reinstall" issue. Just showed up some time after yesterday evening.

Not now. Today, pre-update, write filter, hit 'run now,' and absolutely nothing happens. Doesn't matter how many filter terms I enter, it just won't delete the message. This happens in both email accounts (one gmail, other with ISP which is FairPoint, now Consolidated Communications).

Noted one odd thing: Windows' blue "loading" whirly circle NEVER stops when I'm in the Fairpoint account; it's not present when I'm in the gmail account. There are no downloads going on (at least, there's nothing in the status bar at the bottom.)

Haven't the first idea where to start looking; any ideas??

Update: Noted that when requesting download Fairpoint emails via "get messages," status bar shows "Checking mail server capabilities." and that's it. It never seems to determine what those capabilities are....

Update Two: Pulled the plug on the account; deleted it and re-installed it, and now things seem to be working fine. Thanks for reading, anyway!

Opening via command line gives the following "error/information" message(s): glxtest: VA-API test failed, failed to initialize VAAPI connection. For the TWENTY-SIX seconds(!) Firefox is apparently trying to connect to a service that is not available. Is there something in "Settings" or in "about:config" that I can do to skip the "glxtest" and/or other glx VAAPI related configuration options? Or, alternatively, am I missing something in the X-window configuration or another library package that is necessary to support the VA-API feature? The Nvidia driver indicates it is providing "GLX server" version 1.4 . [Troubleshooting information / Share Data attached]
