If I click on any "mailto" link the only options are Gmail or Firefox.

If I go into Settings and choose applications then content type: mailto the same options are there- nothing for Yahoo Mail.

It used to be there, now it has gone.

Using version 110.0.1

Is there any way to manually add Yahoo mail to Firefox?

A few versions ago, Firefox (Mac) changed behavior when clicking on a link in an outside program. Specifically, if Firefox is not running and I click a link in Outlook, Firefox opens the clicked link in a tab but also opens my homepage in a second tab. Since I'm only interested in the clicked link at this time I don't want it to open my home page, just the clicked link. This problem is exacerbated by my.yahoo.com which causes a switch from the tab containing the clicked link to the homepage tab.

How do I get Firefox to only open the link that I clicked and not my homepage in addition? This was the normal behavior until a few months ago.

Mac OS 11.7.4 Firefox 110.0.1

Thank you!

I just finished setting up my new pc with Windows 11 (Feb 2023 updates) and installed Firefox 110.0.1) and wanted to transfer my logins, passwords, etc, from my Android 12 Phone's Firefox 110.1.0, and other pcs. A window popped up giving instructions how to sync my phone, as follow:

      • Sync Firefox on you phone or tablet. 1) open Firefox on your Mobile Device. 2) Go to the menu (<ios>&<android>menu examples shown) and tap sync and save data. 3. Tap ready to scan and hold your phone over this code.***

I'm 73, have used Firefox since first release in 2004. In all these years I have never seen SYNC in the instructions to "sync and save and to point the phone at a barcode-thingy" or at least not in this world. The instructions made it seem like SYNC was right there to see, but I had to dig thru layes of options to finally find it. You can blaim it on my 73 yr old brain, I guess, but nothing like these instructions exist in Windows or Android firfox. What in the world are your programmers smokin' these days. I would just as soon open up Edge or Chrome and did up the passwords I need to log into my banking and creditcard accounts...heck, it seems like MAYBE I should just dump Firefox after almost 20 years and just use those other browsers. At least there instructions are much simpler that this ol' man can follow. Please have someone review your published helps info on your webpages, and help those Sr. citizens like me to more easily find what we need without calling up grandsons or granddaughters for help (their parents are worse than I am at most techy stuff!) Windows 11 x64, Firefox 110.0.1. HTTPS-only mode disables. OCSP enabled. I've tried playing around with these flags, nothing works.

  • security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots
  • security.certerrors.mitm.priming.enabled
  • security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling
  • security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled
  • security.certerrors.permanentOverride
  • network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist
  • security.enterprise_roots.enabled

Do not recommend me to click Advanced -> Accept the Risk and Continue. I want to disable the warning forever for all the hosts. For example, Chrome supports flag --ignore-certificate-errors, I need something like this.

Since about two months ago, I haven't been able to update Firefox(or any other browser for that matter). I've tried the typical method of going to Preferences, checking for updates, but I can't get passed that point. I get this error message stating "Failed to check for updates."

Chrome was giving me much of the same issue, I've allowed GoogleUpdate on my firewall rules, restarted the PC and tried again. Still got the same error message. I have no other antivirus software installed on this device other than the Windows Defender default app. Firefox hasn't told what I should be allowing past my firewall so I haven't tried anything similar for Firefox.

I also tried uninstalling Firefox, but when I tried to reinstall, I couldn't finish that process because clicking on Download Now led me to this error message stating "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at download.mozilla.org."

I assumed this was maybe a DNS issue. I tried a DNS flush but that also was ineffective. I tried changing my DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2, also tried other known DNS servers but that didn't work either.

In the meantime, I'd like to at least get an offline installer going because my current version is 110.0.1.

Thank you.

I have Firefox 113 on a 14" laptop. The toolbar takes up 1/3 of the height of the screen, which I find intolerable and an obstacle in my work. According to my research, there is no way to adjust the height of the toolbar only. I have a vision problem and need to have fonts a certain size. Any reason why I wouldn't go back to Firefox 110? I have 110 on another 14" computer and it looks great.

I've tried resolving this issue after looking at various solutions here on this site as well as other sites. The message "Your browser is being managed by your organization" shows in my settings, However, when I go to the Policies thread in the registry - whether it's under Local Machine or Local User - there is no policy registry entry for Firefox or Mozilla.

Please advise. This is really annoying.

Thanks in advance.

I found an article and I cleared my history and exited out of everything. When I signed back in - it worked for that evening. When I logged back in the next day the problem was back. It is a recent issue. How can I fix this please?

My FF updated to 110.0.1 (64-bit) on Ubuntu and several things which use to work really well are now broken.

For example, when making a new account, the password manager pops up asking if you want to save the username/password, but if you mouse over to that popup then as soon as you enter it it just disappears. When logging in somewhere, if there are multiple choices for userid (say with different dates) none can be chosen. You mouse down to the popup with the choices and there's a weird stroboscopic action where the popup disappears and is recreated as fast as it can, over and over, and nothing can actually be clicked on. If you type in the userid then try to enter the password the same thing happens. It's not possible to use the password manager anymore, both fields need to be typed in manually.

Another example is the search field. If you type something and there are several options from previous searches, and you try to mouse down to pick one, the popup disappears. If you click the search keyword again it highlights as for replacement, then you have to click it again (removing highlight) and only then can you mouse down and choose a search engine.

etc etc etc! All this stuff worked great until the upgrade happened (in the background) and now many things are a huge pain in the ass. Arrgh!

% uname -a Linux spunky 5.4.0-144-generic #161~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 10 15:55:22 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I tried disabling all add-ons then restarted but made no difference. Password manager is unusable.
