Everytime I open Thunderbird, it stalls in downloading new emails to the point of basically being inefficient. I have brief moments where it works normally, then it stalls again. I'm spending too much time waiting for the green bar to load.

My McAfee add on is disabled. Restarting in safe mode did not help. I am to the point of finding another email program. Can you help me?
