COMPLETELY UNABLE TO RESTART Firefox after an unknown crash
I think my son may have accidentally clicked on something or downloaded something that is causing problems. Just before the crash happened, I started seeing ads scattered around.
Some examples: "DingoDeals" when on retail shopping sites; "FriendsChecker.com" when I open a new tab through a link; "PCTech" icon in the Statup Toolbar as well as pop-ups; An Asteroids-like game (like the game form the 1980's) that plays on top of whatever site I go to (I have to press Ctrl+Alt+a to stop it.
Unfortunately I did not witness the crash happen, but now it crashes on start up EVERY time. I've tried ALL the troubleshooting recommendations from Mozilla Support, yet Firefox still will NOT start at all, and I get a Crash Report every time I try. Here the 5 latest Crash ID's
Crash ID: bp-762d9c68-d00b-4c03-8db7-ac4bc2140314 Crash ID: bp-dd0b1e04-3ed8-4d15-88b5-7b7dc2140314 Crash ID: bp-a6656581-0d03-4220-bd45-20c7a2140314 Crash ID: bp-2b191014-71e4-41dc-9552-66d742140314 Crash ID: bp-9b188253-72b8-47fd-af69-12af82140314
Someone PLEASE help because Firefox is the only browser I like to use.

hello bernie, unfortunately this problem is related to malware on your pc, in particular a library named Websteroids.B324755F3F87.dll.
please run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner, microsoft safety scanner & kaspersky security scan and see if they can catch it.
Could be an issue with this DLL that shows in the Modules list of the crash reports: Websteroids.B324755F3F87.dll
- bug 973138 - startup crash in __fnNCDESTROY (mostly with MovieMode.48CA2AEFA22D.dll)
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
