Firefox appdata folder can't be opened?

I wanted to reinstall Firefox because I was having some problems, and when I tried to open it again, I got an error saying that "my profile could not be found". So, following the advice of others on here, I tried to open the Firefox appdata folder, but it refuses access. I can't open it, edit it, or delete it, so I can't edit the profile.

I'm logged in as an administrator, and it's the only folder doing this as far as I'm aware. Does anybody know what is happening, and how I can fix it?

That would be Windows 7 (NT 6.1) according to the System Details List.

If you do not have access to files or folders then try to take ownership of that folder.
You may have to run Windows Explorer as Administrator.
Be sure to check the location of the cache folder as well.

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
