Why not have Firefox ios via cydia?

Posted

Jailbroken Iphones can do a lot more than the basic Iphone and are not limited by any of apples blocks on customisation and jailbroken iphones are not illegal either so why not release a firefox ios on the cydia store where you would have much more freedom to create the application?

We are volunteers so we dont speak for mozilla, but im not sure how large that userbase is (people who jailbreak their phone/iPod), and by the way android is now becoming the most popular mobile os in the world.

Well there were around 7 million Iphones, Ipads and Ipod touches jailbroken when the Evasi0n jailbreak was released, so I would say theuserbase is quite large.
