I have installrd Fire Fox which I had before but now it will not search for me

Yes I have had Mozilla fire fox before for some time but it played up so I uninstalled it and the reinstalled it but now it installs but it will not search for me

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

Current Firefox versions use the default search engine (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename) to set the search engine that is used on the about:home page.

Check the browser.search.defaultenginename pref on the about:config page and make sure that it is set to the default value Google.
