What happens when you try to download MP4s -- error message? time-out? Firefox tries to load them in a plugin?

hello JechtValhalla, pleas update to firefox 21 which is available in the play store. in the new version you can download mp4/mp3 files by long pressing on it while it's playing and choose save to download the file.
