I open firefox and "checking compatability for add ons" check sets itself in a loop, reappearing every 10 seconds, preventing opening of Firefox. thanks, tom

running latest firefox, on windows7. I cannot close the loop messages with task manager. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Maybe a virus? Other browsers work. thanks again, tom
