Hello Zazie

check it in Safe Mode, in Safe Mode window select "Start in Safe Mode" and see if this happen again, if not see: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

also in your "System Details" you have installed 4 Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.6.5.635, 11.6.5.636, 11.6.5.637, 11.6.5.638 !
