I save duplicate bookmarks with different names to enable me with logins and/or special notes to assist me in my work. In latest Firefox v13.0.1, I noticed when I saved a bookmark and then saved again in same location it would delete the old version. This is not a feature That I want.

If I Bookmark This Page (either using the Bookmarks menu, the star icon, or Ctrl+d) and it's already bookmarked, I get a dialog to edit the existing bookmark. I assume that's what you're getting?

You still can create a duplicate bookmark using the New Bookmark dialog (e.g., right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar, or right-click Bookmarks Menu in the Bookmarks Sidebar). However, this does not automatically populate the URL, you have to paste it yourself.

Not sure how this worked before -- what was the last version you remember allowing you to create multiple bookmarks with the Bookmark This Page dialog?

Maybe there's an add-on to work around this if no one has an easier solution.

They only way to bookmark the same URL more than once is to make a copy of the bookmark and paste the bookmark. Then you can change the name without affecting the other copy.

Easiest to do this is in the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) or Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+B)
