Why can't I see the name of my blog on the tab? All I see is "|"

more options

Recently, the home page of my blog is showing up as "|" in the tab. Other pages on my site are being named correctly, though.

I have included a picture of this. http://tinyurl.com/6to2o6r

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I can't get your link to work. It takes me to a 'page cannot be found' message on http://dismantlingdisabilities.com

I assume that your blog is that website because I can see the problem you describe on the main page. It doesn't seem to be a firefox error because I can replicate the same problem in internet explorer 8.

Do you write html? The problem is the <title> section. Open your website in firefox, right click on the page and select 'View Page Source'.

You can see that row 5 is '<title> | </title>'

Now open another page on your site. Say Free Ebook. Do the same thing.

You can see that row 5 is '<title>Free Ebook | | </title>'

You need to alter the text in-between to change the name of the page in the tab.

I did see the page source, but I don't know how this changed to "|" . Prior to this it did read "dismantling disabilities". Re. if I know HTML, I only know some basic coding.

Thanks for replying. Any more suggestions?

What content management system are you using to update the web page? You need to change the page title to whatever you want either in the CMS or in the html directly.

I wasn't sure what you meant by your question, but I did find that I could change my "Site Title" in my General Settings.

Now I see a change, but it is not back to where it was.

Ugh.
