Firefox actually has a similar feature as Internet Explorer (it isn't called Smart Screen filter, but it does the same thing). It is the Phishing and Malware filter. you can read about it at [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/phishing-protection/ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/phishing-protection/]. It was introduced in Firefox 3, and has been improved in versions since then. It is turned on by default, but if somehow it has been disabled, that page I linked too has instructions on not only how to turn it on, but also to test if it is working.
