Two items are causing many Firefox 8 crashes:
- Roboform older versions. You can try to update Roboform to see if that solves the crashing problem: http://www.roboform.com/platforms/browsers/firefox
- See --> bug 691271 (RESOLVED WORKSFORME Crash mainly close to startup in [@ DebugBreak ] [@ DbgBreakPoint ] with Roboform)
- Trusteer Rapport
- Windows: Start > All Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport
- Mac: System Preferences > Other > Rapport > Stop Rapport"

All plugins have been deleted so it's not Roboform or another program. I don't see Trusteer Rapport installed on my PC, so it's not that.
Any other thoughts?
Do you have a crash report ID? See --> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes

Firefox 8.0 Crash Report [@ DbgBreakPoint ]
This seems to be caused by Roboform. Installing the latest version 7.6.3 of Roboform should solve this problem.
That solved the issue - Firefox is loading! Thank you all for the quick fix. Apparently, Roboform is not currently compatible with Firefox 8.0.
The latest version of Roboform 7.6.3 shouldn't cause that problem. Roboform has released 3 patched versions in recent weeks to solve various problems.
Thx edemeister, but it seemed to fix the immediate problem -- to my surprise. Do you have a link to latest Roboform patch so I can start using it again?
