Firefox 7.0.1 is malfunctioning. Malware and spyware specialty software scans have failed to solve problem. Should I delete present program before reinstalling?

Asked before: upper right corner of websites accessed with Firefox does not accept entries. Happens with all web pages. No problem with IE browser. Easiest to reinstall software. Should I delete Firefox 7.0.1 before re-download/reinstall? Thank you.
