Bookmarks Toolbar Icons

Hello wonderful volunteers,

On my bookmarks toolbar, I prefer to have just the icons (no text description of the bookmarks) because it gives me more room. In the past, I've done this by clicking on the icon next to the address bar, dragging it down to my bookmarks toolbar, and deleting the text from the 'Name' field under 'Properties'. It's beautiful.

I've been able to do this for both Gmail and Google Docs, but G0ogle Reader (despite having an icon in the address bar) comes up as the generic empty page icon. Is there a reason for this?
