Firefox is hanging when asked to clear recent history, with the comment: Script: chrome://browser/content/sanitize.js:136 has stopped responding.

When I try to clear recent history, cookies etc using the 'clear recent history' tool in Firefox browser, the browser hangs immediately with the comment: '''A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: chrome://browser/content/sanitize.js:136''' So now, if I want to delete temp files etc to clean up my lap top, I have to either use Windows system clean up or open Internet Explorer and do it from there. Can this glitch be cleared? I usually clear all history, selecting all the boxes. I always use Firefox browser. Please help. Thank you. P B Shankar
