will you make firefox 5 compatible with Skype and Avast!

I updated my firefox to version 5 which disabled my Skype and Avast! programs. As I use skype daily I tried to go back to 4.0 but couldn't. Now I have to use another browser until this is fixed. Not good!

No, Mozilla isn't going to fix Firefox for those add-ons. It is up to each add-on developer to keep their stuff up-to-date as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox.

You need the new beta version of Avast to get an updated version of their Web Rep extension for Firefox 5.0.

See Skype for an updated version of their Firefox extension.

My attitude is; "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Why mess around with an addon's ability to work if it's working correctly. We are consumers; we vote with out feet (or in this case, our fingers) and go off to a browser that works....

Upgrades are supposed to make things easier not harder, so before releasing these problems to US, talk to the addon developers and release updates that talk to each other.

Do you see car makers releasing products for which you can't buy tyres?

Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Get off you collective backsides and FIX THIS, NOW............!

Sorry, you need an attitude adjustment or you need to realize how things really work.

As far as auto makers go, do a little research on the TRX tires made back in the mid-70's and into the 80's.

I had a few customers that had to buy a new set of rims when the OE tires wore out - Mustangs & Capri's. A set of wrecking yard wheels and new "standard" tires was a lot cheaper than OEM Michelin tires, which had to be special ordered from warehouse half-way across the country.

Why kill Skype functionality by NOT permitting a return to earlier Firefox. This is critical basic communication capability for me with overseas relatives. Mozilla lost all good will and reputation over Microsoft IE that it had with me for decades!

Really, decades? Considering that Firefox didn't even release its first Phoenix version until the spring of 2002 and it isn't even 1 decade old yet?

To the-edmonster.... who the hell are you? Are you a Firefox rep? If so, I'm outta here.................. Plenty of browsers out there.
