i just installed ubuntu 7.10 and it's saying to install and upgraded version of firefox. I then downloaded one, but can't figure out how to install it. same thing happens with my adobe flash . please help!

I don't think 7.10 supports newer versions of Firefox without other updates. Check with Ubuntu support about that.
