Where is the option for choosing which security messages you want to receive? Specifically the "non-secure items on a secure page" message.

This option used to be under the Security tab in the Preferences. I've looked everywhere but have not located it. This is an essential part of our website development testing - where is it now?

The GUI for that was removed from Firefox 4, you need to access the individual prefs thru about:config in the Location bar.

security.warn_viewing_mixed = default is true

Where is the Location bar?

more options

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

Oh, you mean the URL bar! (Location bar, who knew?) Sorry, I thought there was some other side bar I was missing. Thanks for the info. I wish they hadn't removed that option from the Prefs, it was useful. I preferred it when I could set it and forget it. Most Mozilla browser updates so far have added functionality and style and actually improved the browser, but so far I'm not impressed with Firefox 4.
