When firefox 4.0.1 wakes up after a sleep, on my Windows 7 machine, it fails to reload Proxy information contained in WPAD file. Is there a fix?

I am using Firefox 4.0.1 on a Windows 7 laptop. The laptop is set to go to sleep whenever the lid is closed. On previous versions of Firefox, it would wake up, reload proxy settings and go to work. On this version, I have to manually open the "OPTIONS" tab and on Advanced->Settings hit RELOAD, for the Proxy options to be reloaded from the WPAD file. Is there a way to force Firefox to Reload the WPAD everytime it wakes up? Or at least to keep the previously loaded settings without loosing them...
