The tab opening and closing animation lags when even one Music players like Winamp or Itunes is opened side by side

My problem is that whenever i open Itunes or winamp along with mozilla firefox the tab closing and opening animation(the way the tab open and closes slowly like it does in chrome) starts lagging.It no longer shows it smoothly.Please help.
