Within individual tabs, Firefox 4 seems unable to maintain history of the first site visited. Is this a common bug?

When I open multiple tabs within a session, I lose the first page of each tab in history when I navigate away from that page. If I try to hit the back button, the second page is now the first site I visited (i.e. the first site is lost in the history). This may be site-related, as it seems to work correctly for Yahoo sites, for instance, but not all sites.
