Firefox 4 is slow and uses a lot of memory with Adblock Plus

I have been using Firefox and Adblock Plus and I have been happy with it. Then I installed the Firefox 4 release candidate, and it was running slow and using lots of memory (usually almost 1 GB, sometimes more). After some experimentation, I noticed that it runs fine if I disable Adblock.

I got Firefox 4 on my Windows computer at work and it seems to run fine, even with Adblock Plus. AFAIK, the problem only happens in OS X.

I have a Windows computer and i did have Adblock Plus and it made my Firefox slow and use up a lot of memory even before Firefox4 only uses up about 200mb now instead of usual 1gig+ I downloaded SecurityHeroes add-on now to block adds Without this post i would of never known that it was because of that one add-on that my browser was so slow
