It is working for me, try clearing the cache and deleting cookies for the site, this can sometimes help with accessing a site that previously worked. For details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Deleting+cookies
Thank you Tony, sadly that has not changed anything .
It does say on the page as it try s to load to :- This is taking longer than usual. Try reloading the page. If that doesn't work, you can:
1. Disable Labs and try again. 2. If you're on a slow connection, try basic HTML view. 3. For more troubleshooting tips, visit the help centre.
1 works but have to wait till i get this message. 2 I am on fast BBand. 3 no idea what help centre.(i thought I was at help center)

Oh how marvellous, Thank you, I will see if any of their suggestions help if not it is with them!Thank you for your help. I wish I knew my way around.
I tried clearing out cache and cookies but problem still kept coming back. then noticed the url above the loading status on upper left said https://mail.google.com/mail/# instead of https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox. Either remove the # sign and hit enter or add "inbox" at the end of the # sign and hit enter. Got me back in gmail no problem.
Khunters, I noticed this to.Thanks for suggestions but one should not have to do all that.
I suppose we should ask the question in Gmail help as to how to stop this. My trouble is how to phrase the problem so it is correct computer terminology.
