firefox crashes on Sun solaris 10

I have been using netscape and then firefox on Sun Solaris for decades. Starting with ff 3.5 I find that firefox crashes unexpectedly occasionally on Solaris 10 running on a single Sunblade workstation. I have tried upgrading to various versions of ff3.6x including the latest 3.6.12 and I find that it will come up correctly but within one minute of use it crashes. It is never a specific webpage and even crashes when starting a new session. I will list two of the frequent error messages. error that is most frequent: /opt/firefox3612/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 4489 Segmentation Fault (core dumped) "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
