How to stop Firefox Hanging Temporarily During Final Parts of Large Downloads?

Whenever I download a file that is fairly large (10MB+) when the download gets to the final few seconds there is a hang in my Firefox 3.6 browser. This only lasts a few moments but can be really annoying as normally I'm doing something else while the download is running.

I've looked into this and I know for sure it is not my download history. I keep it clean by the setting that clears it from the list immediately after the download is finished. It is also not a shared or USB folder that is unavailable. My download folder is part of My Documents on my C Drive.

So how can I stop this or is this a bug that needs to be addressed?
