I saved some passwords to websites and created a master password. However, I had to reset the master password after a while. The reset function clears all saved passwords. Now, I can't seem to save passwords and usernames to websites again. Can you help me?

Thanks

Rename key3.db and signons.sqlite and all signons#.txt files (if any exist, Firefox 3.0 has used signons3.txt) in the Profile_Folder.

You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and you lose all your currently saved passwords.

If that has worked then you can remove the no longer needed renamed files.

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

  1. Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53
  2. Java Plug-in 1.6.0_03 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

Update the Java plugin to the latest version.

Thank you for your reply.

I figured out how to fix this. I have firefox for Mac. So I went to preference -> security -> exceptions (under password title) and removed the sites to which I want my details to be remembered.

After entering my details on the website, firefox then asks if I want this to be remembered.

Thanks again for your help.
