The font on my browser (not web pages but where I type the URL, my bookmarks, etc.) was set to something fancy by my predecessor and I would like to change it back to something normal. Help!

The tabs for my bookmarks, the url bar, the loading messages.. all are in this fancy script and it's impossible to read quickly.

The usual way of doing this is by installing a theme. If a theme has been installed, switch to the default theme, for details of how to do that see using themes with Firefox.

Hi, I tried that. I actually added my own theme (Go SF Giants!) but the font stayed the same. I tried uninstalling the theme and going back to normal and the font has stayed the same.

Another possibility is they added some code to a file called userChrome.css to change the fonts.

First you need to locate the profile folder, for details of how to find it see the profiles article. Once you have opened the profile folder you can close Firefox. Inside the profile folder there should be a sub folder called chrome, open that folder.

If there is a file inside there called userChrome.css, rename it to userChrome.css.old, now restart Firefox to see if the fonts are back to the default fonts.
