Slow connection speed

When I do a speedtest at the comcast speedtest site using Firefox I get like 6 Mbps a second down and 2 Mbps up.

When I use Internet Explorer at the same site I'm getting 30 down 6 up which is the speed I pay for at Comcast.

Also when browsing the internet it's way faster on IE and FF drags obviously because of the connection speed?
