Does anyone know if this new format is still in its "beta" phrase? Personally, I don't really like it, maybe I just used to the old format. I have logged in numerous times and it kept asking me to log in.

Also when I went to My Account and open some threads that I have watched, it said "couldn't find the page".

Just curious.

Chosen solution

This is more a question for the Contributors forum. This change is (likely) permanent but as with any new product, there are bugs to fix so please bring those up there.

I think it'll look and feel better once all the stuff that we imported from the previous 3 months falls away and you see only the new stuff.

Well, this is not a reply but another comment about the new format. I just realized that once you posted a new question, an email will be sent to you and you have to confirm it before it'll be posted. I don't know if it'll be the same when I reply to a thread. If it does, I will not be posting my replies much anymore because it's really inconvenient to have to go to check your emails every time I try to help another user, and have to confirm every reply I post.

Is Mozilla trying to discourage users to help one another in this forum?

SHAME ON YOU!!!

Why change something that worked great for the users?

I have seen things like this happen on other forums. Some small group of "wise" people decide that a change is needed. Change for the better? Usually, NOT!

You now need to register; to post a question or to post a response to a question. Prediction: Use of this forum will drop dramatically and users will go elsewhere for assistance. I've seen it happen on other forums making this kind of change. Firefox users will become frustrated without an easy method to access assistance/advice, and WILL move to another browser.

Now you can not access old links. I, and probably more than a few other users, have bookmarked links to forum questions for future reference. Now those bookmarks return a "Not Found" error message. You know, a little forethought and planning could have avoided that. But the "powers that be" rarely think about the real users. In fact, they rarely think beyond the tip of their own noses!

Why the new format? Is someone at Moz just trying to justify his/her position or paycheck?

Better get back to the old forum and allow users to link to previously saved messages and to ask questions and post responses before it is too late.

Just in case if anyone else has the same log-in problem. All you have to do is to clear the cache and from there on, you'll only need to log-in once.
