I got firefox set to open to home page, yahoo, but just the http://www//yahhh.com url comes up and will not open yahoo home page,I have tried google search, same thing, will not open yahoo; was previously set to IE8

When I set up firefox, I had yahoo set as home page in IE8; today, I tried and did in the tools menu in firefox set yahoo as home page in firefox; but when I start firefox, it just opens the web address of yahoo and not the home page itself;I had Yahoo games, mail etc all set in IE8,it transferred the mail OK, but nothing else; P
