I migrated Thunderbird from a windows 10 pc to a new windows 11 pc using Laplink PC mover software. It successfully copied all my messages, address book etc. but the appearance was nothing like it was on the windows 10 machine. I've fixed most of the problems but the column headers are barely visible. I can't find anything in the settings despite hours of trying. Attached is a screen shot of the barely visible column headers, indicated by the red arrow.

Any help will be appreciated,

Herman

looks to me like you may have modified layout.css.devPixelsPerPx using the config editor to something other than it's default. Reset the value and modify font sizes and density in the appmenu. The three bar icon on the toolbar.

you might also try changing the hardware acceleration setting if the reset does not do it. Whatever it is set to reverse it.

Thank you. The problem was related to Tbird not scaling to a 4k monitor. A tweak in the config file and the userChrome has since fixed that. All other software scaled to the new monitor, only Tbird did not.

A tweak to the userchrome. You are aware that userchrome is not actually supported I guess. YOU should also be mentioning you have one in any support request first, not last as all bets are off when it is in use. As this topic demonstrates.

Thank you Matt. I did that and it works fine now. I still hate Windows 11 but the machine came with that installed.
