115.7.0 Layout - How do I switch back to pre 115 layout?
My Thunderbird updated and how it displays the Email accounts, Emails, and Content of the emails presented to the user as vertical columns as opposed to the previous versions is making it virtually unusable. If I had 3 monitors to spread the application across it might be usable to read the emails but as it sits right now, the email preview pane is like a reading a cash register receipt.
How can I change the "theme" back to the horizontal display of messages and emails with accounts on the left as it was before this update?
on a personal note, I never understood why software companies feel the desire to force interface changes on their userbase. Why mess with perfection?

Thunderbird has always had three "views" and these can be accessed from the view menu item under layout. What you are talking about is vertical view I think
Then there is the wide view. This places the reading pane across the bottom of the windows with the folders on the left and the mail list beside it.
Finally there is the "classic" view which is the same as the wide view except it continues the folder pane all the way to the bottom of the window instead of cutting it off as the start of the reading pane.
The following I stole from https://kb.mozillazine.org/Window_layout_-_Thunderbird, but it does illustrate the issue of the three views.
